Dragonboat Klub Zadar
A New Era of Strength, Sisterhood, and Global Presence
Dragonboat Klub Zadar has come a long way since its formation, transforming from a small group of brave beginners into a vibrant, confident, and internationally connected BCS team. What began in 2022 as a bold idea has now become one of Croatia’s most uplifting stories of resilience, teamwork, and community.
Today, the team stands proudly as Croatia’s first and pioneering BCS dragon boat club, continuing to grow in both numbers and spirit. The energy that once fuelled their very first paddling strokes is the same energy that now propels them forward—stronger, more unified, and more determined than ever.
Over the years, Dragonboat Klub Zadar has worked tirelessly to develop skills on the water, build fitness, strengthen bonds, and inspire other women across Croatia to join the movement. Their early achievements, including their first-ever race and their historic introduction of dragon boating to the country, laid a foundation that continues to empower new paddlers today.
Now, in 2026, the team is entering a new and exciting chapter.
Looking Ahead to France – IBCPC Festival, August 2026
Dragonboat Klub Zadar is proudly preparing to send representatives to the IBCPC Festival in France this August. This milestone is more than just a trip—it is a celebration of how far this team has come and how deeply they have embraced the global sisterhood of BCS paddlers.
For many of the women attending, this will be their first international festival. For others, it will be another opportunity to share their strength, courage, and joy with the world. For Croatia, it is a moment of national pride as the country continues to grow its presence on the global dragon boat stage.
Stronger Than Ever
What has remained constant from day one is the heart of the team:
courage to try something new
commitment to their health
dedication to each other, and
an unshakeable belief that together, they can do anything.
Dragonboat Klub Zadar continues to inspire women of all ages to step into the boat, pick up a paddle, and find their place in a supportive, empowering community.
As they look toward France in 2026, the message is clear:
They are ready. They are proud. And they are just getting started.
Paddles up—Croatia is on the world map
