Since the last meeting, most of the time has been taken up with responding to emails that had been generated by the email that Jane sent to members.
The June newsletter has been written and is with the graphic designer to finish in the new format for distribution via the website subscriber list this week.
I have been working with a merchandise company re a line of merchandise for sale through an online shop. IBCPC would receive a commission as we do with Hornet.
Preliminary conversations are taking place with a possible sponsor. Right now the focus is on the festival but I am working to move this to IBCPC.
I was asked to join a Zoom call for Argentinian paddlers who want to become competitive. I reiterated to them that whilst no one can stop then from doing this it is critical to remember that we are a participatory organization.
I also had a call with the President of PANAM dragon Boat Federation about allowing Latin BC teams to join the PACCC in March 2021. As many have not paddle even in a dragon boat or at a regional or national event I advised that this may be an issue, so we agreed that there would be an additional novice category for these paddlers.
An interview was conducted with Tim Williams to be broadcast across the US and Europe via You Tube and Facebook, it’s a very cool little video.

Festival
There have also been many emails re the festival and the opening of the registration. So many people are super excited to be able to register soon.
Subscriber list is at just under 1500.

17 composite teams have been formed in addition to the current team list.
