Greetings everyone,
As we reach the close of what has been a rather underwhelming New Zealand summer, today feels like a gift. The sun is finally out, the sky is clear, and I’m writing this message to you on a truly beautiful day. It feels like the perfect moment to share some exciting updates.
Over the past few months, we’ve taken a close look at how we communicate with you—especially through our newsletter. Thank you to everyone who took part in our recent survey. Your feedback was honest, invaluable, and deeply appreciated. One message came through loud and clear: our previous newsletters were too long, too dense, and often out of date by the time they reached you.
So, we’re making a change.
We’re refreshing our newsletter with a new look, a new rhythm, and a new purpose. Going forward, you can expect a shorter, monthly newsletter—more current, more vibrant, and more aligned with what you told us you want. This new format will focus on the topics that matter most to you:
• Festival news and updates
• Advocacy work and progress
• Valuable coaching and training insights
We will of course always share your teams’ personal stories, please keep sending us those. Our hope is that each edition feels timely, meaningful, and like a natural part of your journey—not just as teams, but as a community and a family connected through shared experiences.
As our season winds down here in the southern hemisphere and yours is soon to begin elsewhere, we trust that the coaching tips and seasonal transitions will resonate, inspire, and support you. And for those of you preparing for upcoming festivals—or simply continuing your personal and collective journeys—we hope the updates on emerging treatments and evolving perspectives in breast cancer care spark both interest and optimism.
Thank you for being part of this remarkable community. Your voices guide us, your strength inspires us, and your passion fuels everything we do.
Paddles up—and warmest regards,
Meri.
