Well, as the Communications Director, I can’t begin to tell you how frustrating it has been not to be able to communicate via our Outlook accounts for 3 months! When a gremlin shut down our Outlook emails and our One Drive, we were forced to find other ways to communicate.
During that time, IBCPC secretary, Ann Arndt, worked with a number of people including the amazing Jo Perry, former board member, who were able to work with an outside company to get us back online.
No emails came through between January 27th, 2025 and mid-April, and we did lose a few of our One Drive documents. Remaining documents have now been externally backed up in case we face something like this in the future. Note that anything that was sent during that time has been lost, and we don’t expect that we’ll be able to recover it.
One change that did come of all this was a new email for the newsletter.
➡️ From now on, please use: ibcpcnewsletter@gmail.com.
Please remember to follow the newsletter guidelines posted on our Facebook page. Articles that do not follow the guidelines or that are sent to other emails, WhatsApp, Messenger, etc., will not be included.
In this newsletter edition, don’t miss the Expression of Interest announcement for a position on the IBCPC Board of Directors!
You will also see an exciting announcement about a paddle design competition. You can submit up to 2 designs for a chance to win a paddle and an IBCPC swag bag. See the flyer for the contest rules. All entries must be in by June 30th, 20205. IBCPC.Contests@gmail.com
Paddles Up!
