The WonderBroads had a wonderful, successful season celebrating their 20th Anniversary this year. We kicked off the year with an anniversary banquet attended by supporters, sponsors, family and friends.
We welcomed new paddlers this season and after participating in races and proudly winning 4 medals, our newbies are hooked on dragon boating!
We competed strong this year and ended making a difference in fighting this disease by standing for a cure and better treatments for prolonged life by participating in the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure.
Once again, we won the Women’s team Challenge award by being the top fundraising team in Windsor with $14,000! Several team members were also in the top 10 fundraisers!
Our own Peggy Hurley gave an inspirational speech at this event encouraging everyone to grab life and just do it!
The important thing was working together as a team to achieve this goal! It was a grand ending to a fantastic and successful season.
